Remember when life was so easy...you knew
what was coming next just couldn't answer the
when. So now what? The shiny diamond is on my ring finger, my address includes the capital letters ND, I have two beautiful children (even got lucky to be blessed with one
boy and one
girl ). But there still seems to be this dot dot dot ...
To be honest, I think it's this time of year. I always seem to get this way around the holidays when I miss all my loved ones:
Friends and
my Family.
Whatever happened to asking for what you want for Christmas? Or birthday-so that you get what you actually want. All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth, okay maybe braces is more realistic...what? Save that for the kids you say, too late to be selfish? Well then-consider this-
It' s black Friday (technically Thursday night) I no longer work retail so what do I do in the wee hours of the morning? Attempt shopping for...
NOTHING AT ALL! Funny thing is, I think it was more for mere family-in-law tradition that my mother in law, sister in law and myself went out to "view the madness." SERIOUSLY MADNESS!! We walked into Target and turned around to walk out-I did shop today...online! (with much success) and I don't feel guilty at all about it-other than for those poor souls poured into the retail corporate world. (makes me so glad I cut that cord two years ago, whew!)
Long story short-cherish what you have even if it's a spare moment to shop for nothing but a chance to strengthen a bond and enjoy the season with all it has-good and bad! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
