Still embracing, still blogging...

Just at a much slower pace! Not much to say other than it's been a BUSY month and gearing up for holiday after holiday, I don't see things slowing down anytime soon.

Here we go again

Ok so I have the day off today and aside from a couple of errands, trying to rest because I was up from 12-4 this morning  (Thank You Emersyn, it better be molars) and getting ready to meet a new daycare plus getting ready for a much needed date night with the hubby...I POSTED!

Weather here has been a little off balance, low 60's one day and then high 70's the next but I'm not complaining, just adapting!!

Fall is always one of my favorite seasons because of all the fun layers and yet somehow you can still wear open-toed shoes! So do it while you still can!

It's hard to tell in this picture but I'm wearing my plum colored tights! FUN!

Busy at work...

So these days my only excuse is I've been busy at work? Only partially true, aren't we all busy? I recently received an email comment about my blog asking me if I've exited the blogging world for good? Truth be told, I hadn't thought about my blog, sonow that I'm back on track...I'm back to blogging!! If I can figure out how to do it all from my new iPad, it will be even easier. Until then here's proof- that I'm busy at work that is!

Local Home Show

   This past weekend was our local area Home Show and our store had a large booth on display so I of course being the newbie offered to help.  Well I learned my lesson quickly as then I was asked to give a presentation-on stage, in front of people, a lot of people. I was announced over the loud speaker and had my microphone all ready to go-just waiting for my cue.  Low and behold it was fun! I had a large crowd, talked about color trends and answered a lot of questions.  The only mistake I made was to say out loud "I would even do it again next year."  So it seems I'll be held to that statement I'm sure. Anyway, it's nice that the right outfit can make anyone feel confident and even take a lot of the edge off of any nervous situation. That being said, here's a look at what I wore over the weekend.

Bathroom Remodel

With still a lot of work to be done I thought I better post pictures of what has been done so far or else people may start to wonder if anything really was done... don't judge...we are doing it all ourselves and we still have to finish the recessed lighting, ceiling and trim work but it's so nice to have more room! (especially in my closet!!!)

YEA! The Sun IS Shining!!! 

and it's warm to boot- All of our snow (and by our, I mean specifically the Cichy's fenced yard) is gone! (and by gone, let me tell you it's because my husband spent the weekend shoveling snow out of our yard and into the empty let next to us.)  Luckily it is an empty lot and not an angry neighbor ;) I'm gearing up for the nice weather by anticipating a long but fun weekend-Josh leaves out of town on Friday for his annual hockey tournament (or at least that's what they like to call it) and will be gone the whole weekend but with the weather in our favor and with rain-boots for both kiddos we should have a blast soaking up some 

good ol' fashion vitamin D.

Three in One

Aren't you lucky...Three outfits in one post-or should I say, Aren't I lucky for being able to get away with posting three outfits in one post...a time-saver I desperately need in order to keep up-

I am soooo anxious for Spring! I know we've had a mild winter up North and I should be more thankful but we were so close to sliding by without a big snowstorm, we could even see grass in our yard! And then yesterday hit-4 in. of snow and blowing wind making it cold and miserable!

My closet is just feeling heavy and dark and I'm ready for a re-vamp! On a side note I'm not sure what was better about outfit #3...either the $6 hair dye from Target that made me a "red head" (or as I like to think strawberry blonde) this morning or the $12 clearance jeans that totally made tucking my jeans into boots a reality! See my trouble has always been with the skinny jean trend-until I am reborn in another life without a booty and a pear shaped body frame the skinny jean was just not a good idea!!! But then...I found a straight leg Levi jean (which when did I miss the memo they were going to be carrying Levi's?) on clearance at Target! BRILLIANT!

Long story short, if you don't think the skinny jean is right for you, try a straight leg style instead-

Pinterest becomes a reality

So if you're anything like the other hundred some people wrapped up in the addiction of Pinterest-you'll know exactly where I'm coming from-Pinterest is an amazing outlet for ideas but you have to be able to make those ideas a reality. I've been lucky enough to have a creative husband on my side, and that being said I'm excited to show off some of my favorite ideas...

Okay, I'm sorry but my posts rock! and I miss them! Not in the sense of how much time it takes to post and take pics and blah blah blah but I miss the motivation and reference for outfits! So starting today I"M BACK! Not everyday but a heck of a lot more often! I also remembered I haven't posted any post remodel pics of the bathroom-so I will take some of those while I'm at it -

Although I have become quite the pinterest-aholic, I want pictures to pin from so some of those coming soon too!
