Okay loyal followers (a whopping three of you I think) I am officially throwing in the towel and by that I mean giving up on the blog. As much as I love writing my thoughts and expressing myself through fashion it is becoming an issue in my everyday financial life.
Because I am constantly taking pictures and documenting my wardrobe is not an excuse to keep racking up a bill on a credit card. We are refinancing our home and hope to become debt free after we do so and in turn I can not keep buying clothes. Shopping is somewhat of a drug for me, an addiction. I had to give Josh my credit card and turn over all on-line passwords to him, yes it's that bad. But half the battle is admitting it right? I hope so. I would love to live debt free (other than a mortgage of course) but able to save for big trips (or even trips home to CO) and special vacations with the family and yadda yadda yadda.
So I'm sorry to say but this blog just isn't a safe outlet for me. and that's a FACT! Thanks for keeping tabs on me if you are one of the three followers I have please know that the fashion star inside me will always be an inspiration for daily life I will just have to leave it at that. An inspiration for myself.
Everyday is different, yet happens for a reason.

Light & Airy

This has to be one of my all time favorite camisoles. It is so light and airy and the print reminds me what I do in my everyday at work, work with color! The watercolor print has so many different beautiful shades to it it's hard to not smile when I put it on. Today it was super rainy ALL DAY LONG so I decided to play down the brightness a little with my plum cropped pants and a black jacket. I hope to visit this tank soon though and show off the true brightness quality it can convey!

Half and Half

I thought this was a fun way to add color to an outfit without going overboard but my next challenge will be finding another way to wear it...Jeans was almost too easy don't ya think??
Any ideas for me? Please post if so, would love to give you inspirational credit for an outfit!

Who Knew?
After my 7 lb weight loss with my 30 day cleanse I felt so confident in this outfit! But I didn't like any of the shots taken straight on so Josh says to me "Why don't you turn to the side?" Who knew? My husband has an eye for photography or fashion? Weird...we'll leave it at that.
I left the jewels pretty simple and just added a bigger than normal earring.
One issue I do have is my hair. I swear it looked better in person but I probably always think that!

Casual can work too
Finn had his first soccer practice and although it was freezing outside he was SO excited! He did really well (of course I'm going to say that) and of course it's all for fun at that age anyway. But I don't show many posts of me in casual attire so I thought I'd throw this curve ball in-Enjoy!

Backwards?

I catch a lot of flack at work for wearing this shirt. (But please remember I do work with mostly Men) Mainly wondering if I "got ready in the dark?" or "did I know my shirt was on backwards?" But all jokes aside I love this shirt! It's light weight and goes with everything and although I tried to do a pop of color with my turquoise earring, I think a brighter, bolder statement piece is in order for the next time I wear this!
And who knew skinnies would become a part of my (almost) everyday life?!
CHEERS to showing off your Junk In the Trunk!

Puppy + Shoes = Disaster!
I just can't quite seem to catch on to the fact that puppies (even 10 month old puppies) like to CHEW on shoes! This is not my first loss to Oskie but it is the first one I documented.
*warning: this might be tough to look at for fellow fashionistas

So the good news is, there is a happy ending to this story!
I found these replacements on ebay for $29 Whoo Hoo!
Plus I added these to my closet since it was more of the "look I was after" but was open toe
(limited wear time for that up here in the North country!

Suit and Tie

Well as close at it gets anyway. The longer part of the "tie" on this blouse is actually meant to be worn in a bow by the base of the neck but that was a bit much for me so I wore it more like a tie hanging outside of my jacket. My favorite part of the outfit?
Other than I look like I just came from a board room, not selling paint all day, is that the detail of color blocking in the leather on the toe of my shoes coordinated perfectly!

A little of this, a little of that
I love this "sweater" because it has some crotchet detailing along the top and a little of shimmer to the knit fabric along the bottom. Plus it's short sleeve so maybe it isn't really a sweater? Either way it's a nice neutral piece that I like for this time of year. Too bad it was actually too cold outside to wear it alone and I had to throw a jacket leather accent piece over top. (remember I am refusing to wear a jacket because it is spring! spring, SPRING!)

Sheer Genius
My favorite part of this shirt is a detail that I never get to see-only because it runs down the back. I love the sheerness along with the black strip of buttons. The front side is double layered so it's not as exposing- thank goodness! I guess it would be safe to say, "business in the front, party in the back!"

Spring Fling

Believe it or not this is my Spring Cleaning outfit for work today-Chambray is a go-to for me for many reasons. It's kinda like my new jean jacket but it can be worn alone as a shirt. What I mean is I often find myself using it as a layering piece where I throw it on last as a "jean jacket." It's so neutral and light weight, perfect for this time of year! So I think I'll be having quite the spring fling with my chambray shirts!

Last Sweater
Okay so your prayers worked- for a day. I'll take it don't worry, but it *s word* over the weekend again. Not much, but the big fluffy flake kind. (boo) So I had to layer it up again today. I hope it's the last time but needless to say I did take all my winter coats to the basement closet so although I had to put on a warm sweater I did not, let me repeat did not wear a coat.(Rebel I know)
But the real issue here was that my first instinct was to throw on a bright cardigan and when I took a pic it just didn'tlook feel right. So hence the sweater that followed. I never thought that I would layer these two textures together but I actually liked it better than the orange cardigan. So I think the cardigan, although I love the color needs to be added to my Posh Mark closet. My bracelet is a new clearance find from Tar-get.

P.S. By the way...Navy and black together is SOOO okay :) I dare ya to try it, you just might like it!
Okay I should also try and update you on my cleanse. I made it through the first week YAY! and although the weekend was hard, I am down 2 lbs and feel....the same. But I often do this, try things for a week or so and then go back to my ways. So being that I'm $200 invested in Arbonne, not to mention the amount in organic groceries, I'm stickin' to it! I thought the hardest part would be the no wine deal but honestly it's the no sugar (chocolate) and no dairy (cheese). But head strong, I'll keep on keepin' on!

Sunshine!
Your prayers worked! It's finally sunny today- I wore this blazer but that was it, I know finally right?! I'm already ready to take all my winter coats and put them in the basement without guilt mind you-they have had enough love this year it's time the skirts and shorts get some lovin' too!

Spring?
I tried to wear a new spring skirt this am but after putting it on my husband politely reminded me it's snowing again outside. Sooo what's my answer? Ok then, bright turquoise pants it is! I tell ya what- not only does this weather make me everyone grouchy but it also makes it awfully hard to wear my spring clothes! And my winter wardrobe is getting so boring. I'm in a fashion crisis of not only needing the warm weather to warm my heart but keep my fashionista spark alive. So here's what I need from you, pray for sunshine!!
No, I MEAN IT PEOPLE, pray! We not only don't need anymore snow because of surrounding flood issues but people seriously need to get out of their funk!
Kids need to run and play (Finn's first soccer season is a month behind) and get their vitamin D naturally!
And again I remind you, enjoy your sunshine!

Stripes
I'm so glad that the stripe fad has stayed around for so long! This is my husbands favorite outfit and an easy one for me- I've had this skirt for some time now and it is still one of my favorites! Not too creative though I know-I'll try harder tomorrow I promise!

Scarf weather
Guess what? It was snowing today, sick of hearing me say that? Me too!! So I felt a scarf was necessary, unfortunately. I'm also holding my new food journal, I figured if I'm going to take this 30 day cleanse seriously I need to record what I'm eating and doing to make it work. I have finally hit the "I hate my hair" stage so I'm scheduled to get it cut on wednesday. Nothing drastic- just some much needed style :)
I really really hope your enjoying the sunshine where you are!
As my son keeps saying, "Summer is just around the corner!"

CLEANSE?!
I've got some besties that are knee deep in this 30 day program already and I'm hoping it's as easy for me as it was them! It is a cleanse to get healthy. Some use it for weight issues others for necessity. I guess I'm a doing it for a little of both. I'm actually hoping it helps relieve some of my MS issues. It involves eliminating sugar, dairy, wheat, alcohol, caffeine, yeast, vinegar and anything artificial!
OH MY! Day 1 starts today-wish me luck!
