My everyday

This outfit is one of the only ones I tend to repeat the most. It's my "go-to" if you will. I was having a rough am with not enough time to workout, shower, get ready, kids were screaming and in the back of my mind I knew I have my monthly IV appointment today. (which most days I look forward to- I mean all I have to do id lay there for 2 hours while I get fed my meds through an IV how relaxing is that?, no kids screaming, no phone ringing, I can watch whatever I want on tv) Well I just feel like I have TOO MUCH to do today! I wanted to pick up a prescription, grocery shop for dinner (which is usually a daily ritual unfortunately) and stop at the post office! Anyway, not going to happen today and since I was already stressed this am I just threw on an outfit I know works. But I'm starting to have this thought that I should hide this shirt so that it's rotation is spread out just like all the others in my closet. I wouldn't want other pieces getting jealous now would I? Do you have a "go-to" outfit? One that you find yourself repeating more than others?

Choose your inspiration

Inspiration comes in many shapes, sizes and COLORS. This is one instance where I am going to embrace the 30 degree weather and layer on top but I'm breaking out the open toe shoes! They have been staring at me with lonely eyes from my closet for months and although we still have piles of snirt, the snow on the streets/parking lots/sidewalks is gone :) so out they come for their first ride of the season! I guess I might need to think about a pedicure soon too!

Do I look a little lost in these photos? I feel a little lost like I tried first to leave the house in a spring dress and had to go back up stairs to put tights on. "Oh yeah, 30 degrees today? that's right" So then I found my self trekking back up to upgrade my lightweight cardigan to a fully lined, heavier leather jacket. "30 degrees is the high today? Only ten degrees outside right now? FINE!" So I guess I felt like I never had a full outfit today-but I worked it anyway!

So if you haven't heard of Poshmark, let me take a moment of your time and explain why it is AWESOME!
It's an app you can get for your phone, laptop, etc. and use to upload photos of pieces of clothing you're willing to part with for money. That's right $Money$ !!! I've tried selling some of my things on a local garage sale website but some pieces I'd just rather keep knowing how much I paid for the piece compared to how much I can actually sell the piece for. Then along came Poshmark and they make it so easy! They take 20% of the sale but you pick the price and the customer pays the shipping so all I have to do is print my prepaid shipping label once the item has sold and stick it in the mail! Voila! It's made clearing some space out of my closet to get ready for some of the new so easy! (plus it helps to pay for some of those new)

Bright colors = Sunshine

If I wear bright colors will the weather warm up faster? No? What? Then what should I do? Quit complaining? Fine, ok, ok. But it's COLD! It was only 25 degrees here yesterday with a blowing wind making it feel even colder, but I will say Emersyn still wore her Easter dress and Josh did get to wear his new sweater from shopping in Duluth so I guess we'll keep on movin' on even if the weather wants to stay cold and blustery!

Warmish weather and Easter

 Warm weather right now means in the thirties, sad I know but I also promised Josh I would work on my pessimism so Yeah Thirty! (SUCK SUCK SUCK shhhh) At least we were able to get the kids outside and Josh even got to partake in his annual shovel as much snow out of our yard as possible. Fun huh?

 

As for Easter, we dyed eggs for the first time (not sure we'll do it again it was that much fun) and spent the day doing egg hunts. First t home and then at Nana's with the whole family. 

Whew! I'm ready for a vacation, oh wait....Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

It might be time to trim the eyebrow :) He looks like he's 'up to something'
