Mother-in-laws birthday

So it was recently my mother-in-laws 60th birthday and if you know me at all you know birthdays ARE A BIG DEAL! And especially the milestone ones. Any reason for a bigger celebration really, it's not the number or the age but the fact that there is one day to be selfish in life and be spoiled so why not? Either way I kinda believe in birthday weeks actually. (which is tuned down from month in my earlier years) And so for this reason, a couple of days before her big day my sister-in-law and I took her for pedicures and dinner.
Now the funny part to this story is that I live in North Dakota. And just in case you've never been to visit-while the rest of the world is warming up and ready for spring...we are still very much winter! So no one will see my pretty little toes quite yet but it did feel nice to have some "me time" while at the same time, help to show someone else how much she is appreciated! My hope for you is you can celebrate your day whatever the number may be and enjoy the fancies that come along with it.
